With so many other brands, including some big-name brands like Lancôme and the perfume houses of France, there’s a big demand for perfumes from Sephoras.
But the brand has also been forced to find new ways to fill that void.
With the recent announcement that the company would be expanding its distribution to New York and other US states, Sephors CEO Chris Bacher is looking for new ways for the brand to continue to appeal to a new demographic.
“We’re trying to make sure that we’ve got a lot of new brands coming out, new brands that are trying to take the brand into a new and exciting space,” he said in a phone interview.
“The brand is a huge brand that has a lot to offer, so we’re trying our best to keep up.”
The company will continue to sell perfumes at the Boulud, the largest perfume store in France, which is one of the most iconic perfume houses in the world.
Bouluds is currently undergoing a big change.
The company is transitioning from being a brand owned by its founders, who were part of a company that was bought out by Sephoreys.
It is now owned by the parent company, LVMH Companies.
“It was quite difficult for us to sell the brand,” Bouludi said.
“You could go to the Boulsud, and it would have the same smell, but it was not the same product.
It was very difficult to make the transition to being a part of LVMHH.”
But Bouluda is excited about the opportunity to continue bringing Sephoras fragrances to New Yorkers.
“New York is a great city,” he explained.
“I think it’s going to be a great, growing market for Seaphoras.”
With all that in mind, Bouludeaux says it is eager to expand its offerings, particularly in the fragrance market.
“What we see in New York is something that is really exciting and very, very attractive,” he told The Verge.
“For the first time in my career, I feel like I can bring something really new to the market.”
