MARTIN GILLESPIE’S RTE show “The People’ Choice” is to make its television debut on Saturday, March 4.

The new drama will be produced by the RTE production team.

The show is being directed by Michael Kilgour and will feature a number of new faces, including Peter Gillespie, whose credits include “Bobby &the Girl”, “The One With the Dog” and “The Big Breakfast”.

Gillespie, who starred in “The Man” on Channel 4, will play Mr and Mrs Gillespie, the couple who run the small business in their suburban house.

The show will also be produced and directed by Tony Robinson.

Robinson will be making a return to television after 10 years, after starring in his first series of “A Christmas Carol” in 2015.

The series is expected to run for one hour, with the pilot episode set to air on Sunday, March 5.

“The People” will be based on the Rte drama “The Family Tree” and features new characters and storylines.

The programme will be the latest RTE project to be produced for RTE, which is also home to the RTP, the RFI, the TAFE, the Arts and Culture channel and the RTA.

The RTE family of networks also has a number on its TV roster, including “The End of the World”, “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend”, “Game of Thrones”, “Battlestar Galactica”, “Nip/Tuck”, “Downton Abbey” and the “The Girl” series.
